Cold Spring Adventure

This weekend we escaped the hustle and bustle of New York City and ventured to Cold Spring, New York. Our day trip consisted of a long hike up Breakneck Ridge and a stroll through the adorable small  town.  It was so nice to take a day trip from the city and spend sometime soaking in the sunshine and being outdoors. And, we really enjoyed the quietness: 

Quiet is peace. Tranquility. Quiet is turning down the volume knob on life. Silence is pushing the off button. Shutting it down. All of it.

There was one point where we couldn't find the right trail. As our friends, the leaders, found us on the right path, Everything Pretty Girls decided to strike up a few yoga poses. OM.

After the hike, we went down into town to walk around and explore the gems of a small town. I've never seen so many antique stores - Venessa was in her glory. 

How amazing would this look hung above a bed or fireplace? 

We felt like Ariel in The Little Mermaid when she sang about gadgets and gizmos a plenty... 

It was the perfect Sunday.
