DIY project Friday round up

I'm going through one of those "I'm in my 20's and am so broke so I want to throw myself a pity party" type week. In an effort to tighten up my budget and save some money (not going out to NYC fabulous dinners, endless cocktails with girlfriends, and shopping adventures), I have been looking into some fun DIY projects to do at home.

I'm thinking these will make up for me missing the expensive fun...

A DIY heart ring - so simple, easy, and pretty amazing. Instructions via I Spy DIY.

Button Bobby Pins. I wear Bobby Pins practically everyday - a fun way to spruce them up. Instructions via ChristinaHomemaker.

I would LOVE to hang this pearl light fixture over my bed. This looks a bit time consuming, but it looks so worth it. Instructions via Design Dazzle.

In an attempt to make my own clothes, a DIY maxi. And, I love this color. Instructions and picture via A Pair and a Spare

Wrapped headphones, via Free People.

Perfect Party Dress

I need your help. I have six weddings in the next five months. SIX. I have been coordinating gifts, transportation, hotels, and time off but now I need to look into the dresses. Where do you guys go for a killer party dress that won't break the bank?

Here's some I had in mind...

For a Florida Spring time wedding.

For an afternoon garden party wedding that goes into the evening.

I want to spruce something like this up with earrings and amazing heels. For a nighttime cocktail reception.

For a backyard wedding on the beach.

And... Another nighttime cocktail party dress.

Summa Summa Summertime

I've been dying for this bathing suit at Victoria's Secret to wear during the wedding weekend since we'll still be with family + friends at the hotel for Cinco de Mayo, baby! I can just picture me with a margarita in this suit right now . . .

The Abbie Pom - Pom Suit
(but not if you're staying at the beach with me in FL : )
$32 & $26

And guess what I got F-R-E-E with my purchase?
This cute beach tote!
Kind of reason enough to buy something
(feel free to ignore my toxic logic).

 Promo code: SWIMTOTE12

If you want the tote, you need to buy a SWIM purchase. I believe that includes cover-ups.
Have I totally tempted you yet? If so, here are a few options I found myself lingering on:

Stripe Romper Cover-Up
$48

 Tie-waist Cover-Up Dress
$45

Ruffle Bandeau Top & Low Rise Bottom
Buy it here

I went with this cover up, in case you were wondering:

 Slip-on Romper
 $38

If you go over $100, you get $15 off
($30 off if you go over $150).
Man, they really know how to get ya.
I spent waay too long last night trying to go up to $150 to get $30 off.
I'm such a sucker.
