Everything Pretty Girls on CharityShumway.com

As many of you know, we work at a publishing house in NYC. We get the honor of working alongside authors on their books & novels. It's an amazing job to say the least. A few months ago, I read one of our upcoming books, Ten Girls to Watch (find it here), by Charity Shumway.

"Charming in its honesty and humor, this novel captures that time right after college, when we all feel overwhelmed and adrift. Shumway expertly guides us through a young woman's love life, her family, friends, and career as she proves that perfect endings aren't the only happy ones."
--Lauren Weisberger, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Devil Wears Prada

The book is SO good - and, I'm not just saying this because it's dear to my heart. It's a fun, witty and inspiring read.

So anyways, after speaking with Charity for a few weeks, she told me that she's working on a new website and wanted to interview various people regarding their first apartment stories and how they made it in their careers. Venessa and I were so honored to sit down with her and share some funny, and not so funny, stories.

Check out our interview at CharityShumway.com. We share first apartment stories, how we got into publishing, and our mentors.  And, if you need a summer read, pick this up - it's out July 31st!

  11. Loved that interview - and all your honest answers! You both sound like my perfect cup of tea. I am a huge yoga lover and plus you mention you eat wine and cheese - you literally just listed 3 of my favourite things.
& Julia what a story you have after college - you are amazing to come back from that heartbreak.
p.s Julia that naked man was so totally not sleep walking hahaha cheeky asshole would have said that I think!
