Cindo De Mayo Margs

What are the chances that Cinco de Mayo falls on a Saturday this year? Woo Hoo! I've heard that the holiday was pretty fun in New York City, so I'm excited to see what all the buzz is about. My friend Julia is having a get together with a margarita bar! If you don't know this about me, I love margaritas. Like, kind of obsessed. She'll be having a variety of ingredients to muddle and fresh lime juice (no simple syrup).

Here are some other fun and unusual margaritas that I must try! And yes, I'm having a blog post dedicated to margaritas.

A Blackberry Margarita via David the Tornado
I love his line list of ingredients...

tequila, lots of tequila
blackberries
raw unrefined sugar
coarse salt
club soda
limes
mint (just for charm)
to taste: orange juice, Rose’s sweetened lime juice

Strawberry Basil Margarita via TheKitchn.com
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate
10 strawberries
2 to 2 1/2 cups tequila (gold or silver)
Fresh Basil

 Spicy Grapefruit Margarita via Wearenotmartha.com
2 C tequila2 habanero chiles, cut in half
6 C fresh pink grapefruit juice
Kosher salt

I may have the next blog post on guacamole - my runner up to a good margarita, ha!
