DIY Beauty Masks

This cold weather has not been kind on my skin. I've been hunting for the perfect moisturizing facial mask for Winter weather. I have found many DIY masks, but the only problem is they involve too many ingredients for my liking (I have the same issue with cooking/baking - If I have to google image what ingredients I'm buying, no way jose am I making that).  I have found a few that include TWO ingredients only, and you're pretty likely to have these stocked in your fridge... SCORE!

Avocado and Yogurt
1 ripe avocado
4 tablespoons of plain yogurt
Blend in food processor and leave on for 10-15 min

Banana and Lemon
1 ripe banana
1/2 teaspoon of lemon
(optional- you can add oatmeal or agave)
Blend together until smooth. Apply and leave on for 15-20 min

 Honey and Milk
2 tablespoons of honey
2 teaspoons of milk
Mixture will be sticky. Apply and leave on for 10-15 min

Honey and Egg
2 tablespoons of honey
1 egg yolk
Blend together thoroughly. Apply and leave on for 10-15 min

LYLIF Belt - STYLED

I am  not an "animal print" kind of girl (although, I would say I'm pretty sassy). But, I have been wanting to incorporate animal prints more and more, subtly into my wardrobe. I saw this belt from LYLIF and immediately had to have it - from evening dresses, to office getups and weekend errand runs, it adds a little pizzaz, don't you think?

Surf & Sun Inspiration

Over the past couple of days I'v been reminiscing about my adventures living on the west coast. Don't get me wrong, I really fell in love with New York City, but I do miss many things about the west coast. The lifestyle is OH so different. The ability to wear a bathing suit everyday of the year doesn't get old. With that, here is a little west coast inspiration filled with sun, surf, and fun.

And how amazing is this? Take.me.here.now.

Here are some items worth buying (trust me!) I heavily rely on makeup recommendations because there's so much crap out there. These are products I either own and constantly get ask about ("oooooh, what's that on your eye?") OR products I've admired on other people and are now on my wishlist:

1. M.A.C. Melon Pigment (Eyeshadow)
{You can rock this day or night.
I can't tell you how many compliments I get when wearing this}
Buy it here - $20

2. M.A.C. Black Fluidline (Eyeliner)
{I used Julia's once and I can't stop thinking about it}
Buy it here - $15

3. Dior Rouge (Lipcolor) in Blazing Red or Ara Red
{If you've envied someone's red lips,
it's probably b/c they were wearing this}

Buy it here - $32

4. Lorac TANtilizer Baked Bronzer
{It lasts forever and it comes out so dewy and beautiful. Love love love!}
Buy it here - $32

Coral + Navy

I have been cleaning out my closet and organizing clothes in preparation for Winter weather (even though it's 65 degrees here in NYC today!). Looking at some of my summer clothes, I decided to keep some items easily accessible for layering, which got me thinking about some creative ways to incorporate some summer colors and pieces into a winter wardrobe. One of my favorite color combinations is coral and navy. Here are some of my favorite uses of the combo (AND a great way to be able to wear a bright color during desolate winter). I also have been admiring interiors including the fab combo - hence the last picture.
