literature meets technology
I have the Android (big mistake), but I'm just going to take a wild guess and say most of you have iPhones. Look at this Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice Book Charging Dock! It's pretty alone and then add a function, kind of amazing.
Buy it here for $52.

a low-plucking diet

I remember when I was younger, I had thick eyebrows. I begged my mom to let me get them waxed and I distinctly remember her saying, "don't you know that models have thick eyebrows? Look at Brooke Shields." Oh, the amount of times I heard that name! For a while, I only knew who she was because of the eyebrow-talk.
Well, like most daughters, I didn't listen to my mom and now I regret it. I wanted thin, waxed eyebrows like everyone else in the early to mid 90s, and now all I want are my 10-year-old eyebrows back! So, I'm on a low-plucking diet, for a little while anyway, until I can grow them out and have a professional take a look at them.
Anyone else have brow envy?

If so, here are a couple tips I picked up from eHow Style on HOW TO GROW OUT EYEBROWS:
1. Massage olive oil into your eyebrows every day.
2. Massage castor oil into your eyebrows one or two times a day. (what the hell is castor oil?)
3. Swipe an over-the-counter eyebrow conditioner on your eyebrows one or two times per day.
4. Pour a small bit of whole milk into a cup. Dip a small makeup sponge into the milk and squeeze it onto your eyebrows. (it seriously does the body good)
5. Take a multivitamin daily (that was last year's resolution and it's not working out so hot)
I'm seriously, SERIOUSLY going to try this out. Let me know if you want to go on this diet with me. I know SOMEONE is reading this thing, talk to me, people!

something pretty
Why don't you give yourself a glitter manicure? ooh la la. My nails are long enough on one hand right now for this . . . not so much on the other.

love brilliant ideas

All this takes is a trip to a hardware store, a hammer, and nails (Oh, and jewelry!) And there you have it, a rake jewelry holder. beautiful and brilliant.

china cabinet has a better use

I'm not planning on registering for china. I think I'd rather find a cabinet like this to display my shoes in my bedroom. Love it!
